EAN13 Barcode Packages (Retail Barcodes)
Our EAN13 barcode packages are perfect for use on any retail product except for books or magazines. They can be used in the UK and worldwide. EANs are the standard retail barcode internationally, except for in the USA and Canada, where UPC barcodes are more common. If you are primarily selling your products in the USA or Canada, you may wish to consider UPC Barcodes.

Using your EAN13 barcode:
After you receive your EAN barcodes, you can assign them to your products and begin using them immediately. We will email the EAN images to you in standard size (approx. 38 mm wide x 25 mm high). You can resize the barcodes if necessary to fit your label or packaging. The smallest recommended size for an EAN barcode is about 30 mm wide x 20 mm high.
We don’t need any product information from you. When we receive your order, we will email you NEW unassigned EAN-13 barcode numbers (these barcodes will not have any product information connected to them). After you receive your EAN codes, you can allocate them to your products however you want to and then give your products to your retailers. When your retailers receive your products, they will enter the barcode numbers and product details into their system. After that, when one of your barcodes is scanned, the relevant product details will appear on the retailer’s checkout system.
Need help – questions about our EAN13 barcode packages?
Here are some common questions:
This means that if the retailers only use barcodes for option 1, you can get away with having the same barcode for 2 product variations (i.e., different colors of the same product). However, if the retailer uses barcodes for option 2 as well, then a different barcode will be required for each product variation.
In general, retailers prefer to stock products that will be straightforward to manage. Some retailers may prefer not to stock products if they have to manually count how many are left of each size and reorder accordingly. Therefore, it is recommended that you have a different barcode for each variation.
