Based on the English Riviera, Torbay Gin operates a micro distillery in Cockington village, Torquay. Since opening in 2021, it has produced a growing range of award-winning gins.
The Cockington distillery welcomes visitors from Monday to Sunday, between 10 AM and 3 PM. Guests can sample gins, either neat or with tonic, and explore a selection of gifts. The friendly team at Torbay Gin is eager to share their expertise. The distillery is located in the picturesque Stable Yard Studios, behind Cockington Court and near the Rose Gardens.
After the successful launch of their distinctive blue signature gin, Torbay Gin aimed to create a product that reflects the coastal locale. By using locally sourced seaweed and garden-grown thyme, they quickly gained recognition, winning several prestigious awards, including the IWCS Gold Award in the Gin & Tonic Category.
Although they intended to introduce a second gin quickly, demand for their blue gin posed a delightful challenge. In September 2022, they unveiled Aurantiaco, resulting from careful testing and dedication. Aurantiaco has already won a coveted Gin Guide Award.
Both Torbay Gin and Aurantiaco also earned gold distinctions at the Taste of the West Awards in 2022. These accolades highlight their commitment to crafting exceptional gins that delight the senses.
